MRI Technologist - Santa Clarita

Come see for yourself!As the MRI Technologist you will perform basic and complex MR imaging procedures as well as post-processing responsibilities. This will require an in-depth understanding of human cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology and medical terminology. You will be expected to support all imaging centers staffed by our organization. You will be required to maintain a high degree of accuracy in patient positioning and image acquisition/formation. You will be expected to support all imaging centers staffed by our organization. You will also need to apply your knowledge of magnetic field safety and properly screen all patients and visitors prior to admittance into the MR magnet room. You will:Ensure accurate processing of radiology ordersMaintain accurate up-to-date records of procedures performedOperate a variety of post-processing/3D workstationsPerform accurate image archivalPrepare and administer paramagnetic contrast mediaSensitively handle physical and emotional needs of the patient*Internal candidates will be placed according to their Active/Current career ladder level*Salary Range: $52.22 - $68.84 HourlyQualificationsPlease ensure your resume and application includes all relevant certifications and licenses.LicensesA combination of the ARRT and CRT - required. MR certificate requiredOR you need A combination of the ARRT and ARMRIT (MR) - requiredBCLS from American Heart Association or American Red Cross - required Graduate from a AMA Radiologic Technologist Program - required Venipuncture certificate - preferredAA or BS - preferred At least 1 year of MRI experience - preferred Siemens experience - preferredAbility to adapt to advancements and changing technologiesAbility to identify contraindications for examsExcellent communication, interpersonal and independent decision-making skillsFamiliarity with clinical billing (IDX codes)Knowledge of human anatomy and pathologyStrong attention to detail and multi-tasking abilitiesYou will be required to rotate to all radiology sites staffed by UCLA Health
