Labor Analyst

Job DescriptionThe Labor Analyst for HM Alpha Hotels & Resorts will research, analyze, and report on workforce data to optimize staffing, improve efficiency, and enhance customer service by focusing on productivity and labor utilization.ResponsibilitiesKey duties involve collecting and analyzing data, forecasting volume, developing labor models, monitoring key performance indicators, ensuring compliance, and advising management on staffing levels and performance.Data Analysis: Collect, process, and analyze labor data (hours, costs, utilization, productivity, staffing levels) using various tools and systems.Cost & Productivity: Conduct cost-benefit analyses, forecast financial impacts of proposals, set labor standards, and identify variances or performance gaps.Reporting & Forecasting: Prepare reports, dashboards, and notes for leadership, modeling future staffing needs and operational impacts.Strategic Support: Provide technical advice and recommendations for labor negotiations, budgeting, and strategic workforce planning.System & Process Improvement: Assist in implementing labor management systems, focusing on data integrity, while troubleshooting issues.Collaboration: Work with Human Resources, Finance, Operations, and Department Managers to align labor strategies with organizational goals.Education and TrainingBachelor's degree in Management, Finance, Operations, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Skills and AbilitiesRequires strong analytical, data management, and communication skills to support strategic decisions.Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in data analysis, spreadsheets (Excel), and labor/timekeeping software.Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting complex data to diverse audiences.Experience with labor management tools and payroll systems is required.Experience with hospitality-focused software Unifocus and payroll system Paychex is preferred.Experience with Microsoft Power BI is a plus.Knowledge and ExperienceProven experience in analytics, management, operations, or a related role.BenefitsGenerous medical, dental, and vision available first of the month following hire date, includes FSA, HSA, and Dependent CareDisability InsuranceLife InsuranceEmployee Assistance ProgramSupplemental benefits401k matchingEmployee discount programVacation and Sick Time8 paid holidaysCompensation: Commensurate with ExperienceLocation: Nashville, TN (HM Alpha Nashville Yards Office)Work Environment: Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m.-5:30 p.m.; occasional remote work
