We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Engineer to support the planning, design, development, integration, and security engineering of critical information systems. This role requires a highly analytical professional capable of applying systematic approaches to complex cybersecurity challenges in a DoD environment. This position will require you to be on site in Columbus, OH. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Cybersecurity Engineering & System Integration: Provide security engineering support throughout the system lifecycle, including planning, design, development, testing, demonstration, and integration. Integrate cybersecurity processes, tools, and methodologies to resolve system-wide or technology-specific security challenges. Implement modern security solutions, such as blockchain technologies and advanced cryptographic approaches.Security Analysis & Requirements: Analyze and interpret information security requirements for new and existing systems. Ensure systems and workflows comply with DoD cybersecurity standards and policies. Evaluate technical solutions and identify security gaps, risks, and mitigations.Technical Problem Solving & Process Optimization: Apply analytical and systematic methods to solve challenges related to workflow, organization, and planning. Use structured approaches to investigate and resolve cybersecurity issues within complex system environments.Compliance & Certification Support: Support the implementation and maintenance of security controls required under DoD 8570.01. Operate as a DLP (Data Loss Prevention) Administrator, ensuring compliance within the defined Computing Environment and IA Role/Function.Required Qualifications:Certifications meeting DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II (ex. CISSP, CompTIA Security+) and CNDSP-IS requirements (ex. CySA+, CASP+) Computing Environment Certification: DLP Administrator DLA CE Cert IA Role/Function: DLP AdministratorA minimum of seven (7) years of relevant IT experience Hands-on experience implementing modern security solutions (e.g., blockchain, advanced cryptography) Preferred Qualifications:A bachelor’s degree in a related field of studyClearance Requirements:Must be a U.S. citizenMust possess a current DoD Secret clearance
