Paralegal
Hale Law LLC is looking for an experienced paralegal to provide assistance during all phases of the litigation process including conducting interviews, legal research, document filing, and attending trials. This paralegal will work primarily with attorneys focused on civil rights litigation. A prime candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience, preferably in litigation with thorough knowledge of the litigation process from initial pleading through trial work.Job Duties:Perform administrative duties (calendar hearings and deadlines, organize case files, manage logistics, schedule depositions, etc)File pleadings, motions, and other documents with courtsMaintain pleadings and discovery indexesOrganize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs and appendicesAid attorneys with interrogatories and other discovery requestsGather relevant information and documents from a variety of sourcesLiaise between trial teams and internal/external third partiesProvide assistance with case settlementsRequirements:Paralegal associates degree or other relevant certificationProven working experience as a Litigation ParalegalApplicable knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules and procedures, practices ect.Thorough knowledge of preparing subpoenas, processing discovery, and preparing for trialStrong writing and communication skills along with attention to detailExceptional organization skills and ability to work independentlyExtensive computer and database expertiseJob Type: Full-time
