Speech Language Pathologist

Job Summary: A Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) is responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of communication and swallowing disorders. The SLP works with individuals of all ages, from infants to the elderly, to improve their ability to communicate effectively and safely. The SLP works collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, educators, and caregivers to develop and implement treatment plans that are tailored to each individual's unique needs. Responsibilities: Evaluate and diagnose communication and swallowing disorders, including articulation, language, voice, and fluency disorders Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address each client's unique needs and goals Provide individual or group therapy sessions to improve communication and swallowing skills Use evidence-based practices and technologies to support communication and swallowing goals Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, educators, and caregivers to ensure a coordinated approach to care Provide education and training to clients, families, and caregivers on communication and swallowing strategies Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as needed Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessment and treatment activities Participate in professional development activities to stay current on best practices and new technologies in the fieldQualifications: Master's degree in speech-language pathology from an accredited program Certification by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and state licensure Clinical experience working with clients of all ages with a variety of communication and swallowing disorders Knowledge of evidence-based practices and technologies in the field of speech-language pathology Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, educators, and caregivers Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Patience, empathy, and a client-centered approach to care Physical ability to assist clients with mobility and positioning, as needed Job Type: Full-time Pay: $31.47 - $71.53 per hour Schedule: Monday to Friday Work Location: In person
