Join Perma-Fix’s mission to deliver advanced and sustainable nuclear services worldwide.Role DescriptionThe Vice President/General Manager of PPF is responsible for the management of all aspects of the operations at the Perma-Fix of Florida facility. The VP/GM is responsible for the P&L for the facility. This is a full-time, on-site leadership position based in Gainesville, FL.Duties· Assure scheduling, inventory control, finance, purchasing, quality control and quality assurance are maintained.· Maintain the Health and Safety program and make sure to provide a safe work environment.· Prioritize Safety and Quality over production.· Responsible for overall training and compliance.· Direct daily functions related to in-house laboratory verification activities including oversight of R&D activity.· Responsible for documentation and reporting aspects for the operation including development, completion, accuracy and retention of appropriate forms.· Provide interface with customers for waste approval activities and subsequent scheduling and shipping.· Institute methods to achieve compliance with programs regulated by the USEPA (RCRA, TSCA, SARA), OSHA, DOT, State of Florida DEP and other state and local agencies.· Other duties as assigned.Requirements· Bachelor’s degree in a technical application with at least 15 years of experience as a manager.· 40-hour OSHA Hazwoper Certification with current 8-hr refresher.· 16-hour radiation safety training with current 4-hour refresher.· Attention to detail and organizational skills.· Support cost analysis and pricing for the Radiological business.· Personality conducive to teamwork.· Facility quality assurance program admin level training.· Annual respirator fit test qualified and ability to function in all levels of personal protective equipment (PPE).· Written and verbal communication skills.· Displays professionalism.· Ability to multitask.· Knowledgeable in DOT, RCRA, CERCLA, and DOH requirements.· Proficient with operation of computers.Working ConditionsOffice environment, occasional travel.
