Java Technical Manager [AI/ AWS Cloud]Piscataway, NJ (Need Onsite day 1,hybrid 3 days from office)Position type: W2 contractJob DescriptionWe are looking for a Technology Managers to lead the design, development, and delivery of enterprise-scale applications. This role combines technical leadership, team management, solution architecture, and delivery ownership to build scalable, secure, and high-performing digital solutions. The ideal candidate is an experienced engineering leader with strong expertise in Microservices, Cloud (AWS/Azure), and Agile delivery, capable of guiding distributed teams while partnering closely with business and technology stakeholders.The RoleResponsibilitiesTechnical Leadership Lead solution design, architecture reviews, and technical decision-making. Drive best practices in software engineering, code quality, security, and performance. Guide teams in developing cloud-native applications, APIs, and microservices. Mentor engineers and technical leads on architecture, design patterns, and modern engineering practices. Delivery Management Manage end-to-end delivery of multiple projects and releases. Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to prioritize work and meet business objectives. Track delivery progress, dependencies, risks, and resource utilization. Ensure timely, high-quality delivery within scope and budget. Team Leadership Lead, coach, and develop engineering teams Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Support hiring, performance management, and career development initiatives. Stakeholder Management Act as the primary technical liaison between engineering teams and business stakeholders. Communicate project status, risks, and recommendations to leadership. Build strong client and cross-functional relationships. Engineering Excellence Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and enterprise architecture standards. Promote continuous improvement through metrics, retrospectives, and innovation initiatives. Requirements 12-15+ years of software engineering experience.3-5+ years leading engineering teams and technical delivery.Strong hands-on experience with:Java, Spring Boot,Microservices, REST APIs,AWS and/or Azure Cloud,SQL/NoSQL Databases,Kafka or Event-Driven Architectures,Containerized services,CI/CD and DevOps practices,Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments,Strong problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
