Payroll Specialist

The Bachrach Group is partnered with one of the leading global financial services organizations on their search for a PAYROLL SPECIALIST. This role offers great benefits plus a hybrid work schedule, exposure to international payroll, and close collaboration with cross-functional partners in a dynamic, fast-moving environment. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of full-cycle multi-state payroll experience.RESPONSIBILITIES:Payroll ManagementManage full-cycle payroll processing for multiple pay groups across North America and EuropeExecute scheduled and unscheduled payroll runs, including special and corrective paymentsAdminister payroll changes related to onboarding, employee exits, and compensation updatesReview and validate time data, retroactive adjustments, and tax elections to ensure accuracySupport payroll requirements for globally mobile employees, including jurisdiction-specific payroll treatmentsCoordinate payroll processing tied to equity and incentive compensation events across regionsAccuracy, Controls & ComplianceMaintain compliance with applicable wage, hour, and payroll regulations across all supported locationsPerform detailed reconciliations between payroll systems, HR platforms, and third-party reportsIdentify discrepancies and resolve payroll, benefits, and employee data issuesPrepare payroll documentation to support internal controls, audits, and financial reportingReporting & AnalysisProduce payroll reports and data analyses in response to internal inquiriesSupport finance and people teams with payroll-related insights and funding requirementsEnsure payroll data integrity through ongoing monitoring and reviewSystems & Process ImprovementMaintain payroll calendars and pay schedules within the payroll systemParticipate in payroll system testing, upgrades, and configuration changesProactively identify opportunities to improve efficiency, controls, and scalability of payroll processesStay informed on regulatory changes and help implement necessary updatesQUALIFICATIONS:Hands-on experience with WORKDAY 5+ years of experience managing full-cycle payroll is requiredStrong working knowledge of payroll taxation, earnings, and benefitsDemonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy under tight deadlines Intermediate to advanced Excel skillsExperience supporting payroll across multiple countries - APAC and EUExposure to equity or incentive compensation payroll processingBachelor's degree is highly preferredFor additional details and the next steps, please send your resume to:Location: Downtown Houston areaSchedule: Hybrid, 3 to 4 days in-officeSalary range: $95,000 - $105,000 DOE (plus bonus eligible)****Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.****
