Welder/Fabricator

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for welding and fabricating gates according to written or verbal sales orders. Applicants must have a valid Florida drivers license with a good driving record, must be drug-free and be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, and must be able to pass a background check. Responsibilities - Read and interpret drawings to understand project specifications. - Locate material from stock in warehouse or yard and transport it to a pipe preparation/ welding area. - Cut, notch and bend pipe sections to create gates and other materials based on provided shop drawings and sketches. - Maintain welding equipment by changing gas bottles and welding wire, as well as some maintenance to other welding equipment and miscellaneous machinery. - May be required to perform miscellaneous duties including loading/unloading trucks, and filling orders. - May be required to go on jobsites and help with installation. Experience - 3 years minimum of welding experience with MIG, ARC welding and torch cutting (REQUIRED). - Able to perform own layouts as well as create and use jigs. - Experience in welding steel and aluminum. - Physically able to lift 80 lbs repeatedly. - Must be able to work around heat and chemicals. - Must be a self-starter, problem solver and must be organized. - Must have your own reliable transportation to our shop and home.
