Makes certain all parts are secured prior to run.Has sufficient knowledge of the bottling and labeling equipment being operated to make adjustments, without supervision, within guidelines outlined in the applicable SOP and current Credentialed Training program level.Verifies batch record and product descriptions are correct. Verifies that set ups are correct (capsule count, bottle fill weights, bottle size, lid, label details, etc.).Commits to the Packaging Credentialed Training program where the proper operating knowledge, skills, and experience are acquired to meet the high quality of proficiency expected of a Thorne operator.Once fully trained and certified in a Packaging area, is capable of training operators on the equipment and tasks for the area. As a trainer, the operator will assume responsibility for the trainee’s performance until the trainee has been signed off to complete the tasks alone.Takes a total quality approach to conduct, in operating machines, and in producing Thorne products.Pays attention to detail. Completes all production paperwork accurately, neatly, and fully.Becomes cross-trained in other production areas and willingly works in the different production areas as assigned by supervisor.Sanitation Technician Operating Schedules:1st Shift 7:00am- 3:30pm2nd Shift 3:00pm-11:30pm (+$2.25 Shift Differential)3rd Shift 11:00pm-7:30am (+$2.25 Shift DifferentialAll shifts include Saturdays plus overtime as required to meet production needs.Please note, effective July 12, 2026 Sanitation Technicians will transition to a 12-hour schedule.Day Shift: 5:00am-5:30pmNight Shift: 5:00pm-5:30am Sanitation Operator Responsibilities:Operates cleaning machinery (high pressure washer, foamer and floor machine, etc.) after proper training as required by area and assigned by a lead or supervisor.Adheres to internal safety policies, including use of proper personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.Completes cleaning tasks in a timely manner and keeps work area in a neat and efficient manner.Commits to the Sanitation Technician Credentialed Training program where the proper knowledge, skills and experience are acquired to meet the high quality of proficiency expected as a Thorne Sanitation Technician.Assists Production Operators with run procedures (i.e., end line clearance, beginning line clearance, cleans, removal of machine parts and reassembly of machine(s) or line equipment) as needed.Becomes cross-trained in other production areas and willingly works in the different production areas as assigned by a lead or supervisor.At Thorne, we believe in the infinite potential of humans to perform at every level and life stage. As you advance, you will build new competencies, expand your responsibilities, and increase your impact within the organization — with financial incentives tied to each level of achievement.What You NeedMinimum High school diploma or GED is required.Prior manufacturing experience preferred.Ability to work overtime as required.Must be able to safely work with ingredients and products that are derived from possibly allergenic sources including, but not limited to, nuts, soy, dairy, fish, and shellfish.
