Amazon Leo is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low‑latency, high‑speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.
As a Senior Hardware Engineer, you will be part of a team of experts working on the development of advanced antenna systems. Your responsibilities include:
Design and optimization of different blocks of the antenna system
Design of proof‑of‑concept systems and prototypes for the next generation of antennas
Design of RF circuitry in collaboration with the RF team
Design of automated test systems, test fixtures and factory test procedures
Bring‑up and test campaigns of the active antennas
Lead and review PCB layout
Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Basic Qualifications
BS degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering, or equivalent experience
7+ years of industrial experience especially board‑level analog/digital design
3+ years of experience in high‑speed digital design, multi‑gigabit SERDES, signal and power integrity
3+ years of experience with schematic capture
2+ years of experience using lab equipment, including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multimeters
Experience with Mentor Graphics or Cadence layout tools
Preferred Qualifications
Masters of Science or PhD in electrical engineering or computer engineering
Familiarity with analog electronic fundamentals (transistor circuits, op‑amps, filters, etc.)
Experience in design, implementation, bring‑up and debugging of proof‑of‑concept HW and prototypes
Familiarity with power supply design
Proficiency in developing programs for instrument control
Previous work experience in a programming language

The base salary range for this position is 137,300.00 – 185,700.00 USD annually (USA, WA, Redmond). Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
