Manufacturing Quality Systems Leader Location:Columbus, OHJob Type:Direct HireStarting Salary:From$100,000/year(Higher compensation available based on experience.)Position Overview We are seeking an experiencedManufacturing Quality Systems Leaderto oversee quality management, compliance, and continuous improvement within an industrial manufacturing environment. This leadership role combines strategic planning with hands-on support, helping improve product quality, reduce defects, strengthen quality systems, and ensure compliance with industry standards.Approximately70% office-based and 30% production floorinvolvement.ResponsibilitiesLead and improve the company's Quality Management System (QMS).Develop quality goals, performance metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives.Ensure compliance withISO 9001 , customer requirements, and industry standards.Manage internal and external audits, corrective actions, document control, and change management.Establish quality standards forsheet metal fabrication, busbar fabrication, machining, welding, and mechanical assembly .Reduce defects, scrap, rework, and customer quality issues through root cause analysis and corrective actions.Implement quality reporting and performance dashboards.Partner with manufacturing, engineering, operations, and supply chain teams to improve production quality and process capability.Support customer audits, supplier quality programs, and supplier corrective actions.Develop and mentor quality personnel while promoting a culture of accountability and operational excellence.Monitor key quality metrics, including customer complaints, warranty claims, audit results, scrap, and rework costs.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or a related field.10+ yearsof quality leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.Experience leading Quality Management Systems, compliance programs, and continuous improvement initiatives.Strong knowledge ofISO 9001 , root cause analysis, corrective actions, and process improvement methodologies.Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving organizational change.Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.Preferred QualificationsExperience withelectrical equipment, power distribution equipment, switchgear, control panels, industrial equipment , or similar manufacturing.Familiarity withsheet metal fabrication, busbar fabrication, welding, machining, mechanical assembly , and custom manufacturing processes.Experience supportingengineer-to-order (ETO)orconfigure-to-ordermanufacturing.Lean Manufacturing,Six Sigma ,ASQ , or related quality certifications.Experience supporting data center, utility, industrial, or mission-critical infrastructure products.
