Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and energetic Painter to join our team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to various surfaces on semi-trailers and related structures. Your expertise will ensure our products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and aesthetics. Responsibilities
Prepare surfaces thoroughly through sanding, cleaning, and surface repair to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
Apply primer, paint, stain, or coatings using brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless paint spraying), or conventional spray equipment.
Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and surface preparation instructions to execute precise painting tasks.
Use hand tools and power tools safely for surface preparation and fixture installation as needed.
Perform structural and industrial painting on various components, including frames, stucco, masonry, and other structural elements.
Follow safety regulations diligently by wearing respiratory protection and adhering to all safety protocol guidelines during painting operations.
Conduct visual color comparisons and color theory assessments to achieve accurate color matching and finishes.
Requirements
Proven experience in construction or industrial painting with a strong understanding of surface preparation techniques.
Knowledge of construction estimating, schematics interpretation, and basic math skills for measuring and mixing coatings.
Skilled in residential painting, commercial painting, renovation projects, and restoration work.
Ability to operate ladders safely and use scaffolding or elevated platforms as required.
Familiarity with hand tools such as caulking guns, brushes, rollers, masonry tools, and carpentry equipment including trim carpentry and frame carpentry.
Experience with paint sprayers (including airless spray systems), power tools, plastering, welding, masonry work, and fixture installation is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of safety regulations related to construction site work and respiratory protection standards.
Construction site experience with the ability to interpret technical drawings or schematics for precise application work.
Additional skills in remodeling, handyman tasks, welding, maintenance activities, or industrial painting are a plus.
