Network Engineer (Cisco, Arista, Juniper) I - Remote
What you will be doing as a Network EngineerResponsible for activation support and troubleshooting operational issues for Advanced Voice Products: Business Voice-Edge (BVE), PRI and SIP Trunks. Acts in compliance with industry and company technical requirements, standards, policies and procedures. Works under general supervision, may require training and detailed instructions for assigned task..Job Responsibilities: Primary Install Call-Queue phone support to Field Technicians, Vendors and Customers for installation of advanced voice products. Provision and activate all Advanced Voice Product Equipment and identify voice boot-files and correct firmware. Knowledge of and ability to navigate across all Comcast Voice platforms: SCOUT, BACC, Salesforce, OrderPath, Webtop, SIMON, Workbench, Century, MSP, DRW, Don River and Broadsoft. Identify and configure BVE features: Hunt Groups, Auto Attendants, Time Schedules, Busy-Lamp field and Shared Call-Appearance. Product knowledge to make changes to features and settings in the configuration through CLI commands or GUI. Ability to successfully identify WAN or LAN network issues and the Comcast Demarcation. Work with customers to ensure cutover of phone service is successful and assist in over the top VoiceEedge customer acceptance.What you will bring to the table as a Network Engineer:Isolate, troubleshoot and resolve basic network issues by correlating real-time diagnostics from network equipment. Understanding of test call routing: BVE call-flow and features; successful inbound/outbound call using PRI and SIP Debug. Collaborates with both internal and external departments to resolve any order discrepancies or network related issues. Consistent exercise of independent judgement and discretion in matters of significance. Adequately documents technical solutions and quickly escalates critical issues to provide the most effective resolutions. Follows procedures to maintain service Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) within regional or contractual standards. Opens and updates service tickets in database/tracking system.Provides knowledge and guidance to junior team members.
