Rate: DOE JD: Our client is seeking a mid- to senior-level Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Engineer to support ongoing product development and simulation initiatives. This is a hybrid contract role based in the Greater Boston area, offering an excellent opportunity to make an immediate impact within a collaborative engineering environment. The ideal candidate will bring deep CFD expertise, the ability to work independently, and their own active CFD software license, and a capable hardware setup. Key Responsibilities Perform CFD simulations and analyses to support design validation and product performance optimization.Collaborate with design and engineering teams to interpret results and recommend design improvements.Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation, reports, and presentations for internal stakeholders.Manage simulation data, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and reproducibility. Requirements 3-5+ years of hands-on CFD experience.Proficiency in commercial CFD software such as ANSYS Fluent, STAR-CCM+, COMSOL, or equivalent tools.Active software license (Simscale is fine) and access to a personal laptop or workstation capable of running simulations.Strong technical foundation in thermofluids, heat transfer, or mechanical/aerospace engineering.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
