PLC Controls Engineer
Location: Remote + 50% travel to client site in the US (expenses covered)
Hours: 40h/week + 20–30h overtime.
Languages: Advanced English + Native Spanish.
Start Date: August 24, 2026
Duration: 6 months + extensions
Job Description
Controls Engineer III leads the design, development, testing, and deployment of complex automation systems (MHE: conveyors, AS/RS, robotics, sortation). Responsibilities include PLC architecture, integration, commissioning, mentoring engineers, and ensuring quality standards across the project lifecycle.

Must‑Have Requirements
· B.S. in Engineering or 10+ years equivalent experience.
· 5+ years PLC programming (Rockwell preferred; Siemens a plus).
· Industrial networking (EtherNet/IP, DeviceNet, ControlNet, Profinet).
· Conveyor/MHE control systems, safety PLCs, machine automation.
· Electrical schematics & system diagrams interpretation.
· SCADA/HMI platforms (Ignition, FactoryTalk View).
· Strong troubleshooting & documentation skills.
· Leadership in technical conversations & mentoring.
· Experience with Daifuku, Dematic, Hytrol, Pulse Roller MDR.
· Fanuc Robotics experience = PLUS.
· Pulseroller MDR Control Cards (required).
· Itoh Denki MDR Control Cards (preferred).
Pay: From $1.00 per year
Willingness to travel:
50% (Required)
