Responsibilities
This position requires the individual to work successfully in a team environment to design electrical, instrumentation and control systems for the manufacturing, energy, or water/wastewater industries. Design responsibilities include all of the necessary fundamentals needed to develop state of the art electrical and automated control systems.
Power distribution systems
Electrical single lines
Motor control center (MCC) layouts
Standby generators and switchgear
Variable frequency drives (VFDs)
Reduced voltage starters
Motor operated valves (MOVs)
Electrical site plans
Conduit schedules
Piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs)
SCADA systems
Industrial communication networks and radio telemetry systems
PLC control panels
Instrumentation applications
Qualifications
Requirements: MS or BS in Electrical Engineering with five to ten years of professional engineering experience designing electrical and industrial automation systems. Designation as a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in California is highly desired. Excellent organization and communication skills (both written and verbal) are essential.
