The Director, HR Business Partner – Corporate Functions North America serves as the strategic people advisor to enterprise functional leaders across Corporate Functions including Finance, IT, Legal, HR, Strategy, Communications, Marketing, and Customer Service. This role partners closely with executive leadership to shape organizational effectiveness, leadership capability, workforce planning, succession, and culture strategies that enable enterprise growth and transformation.Operating with an enterprise mindset, this role balances global functional alignment with regional execution realities while driving workforce and leadership strategies that support Sonova’s long-term business priorities.More about the role:Partner with Corporate Function leaders to translate enterprise strategy into workforce, capability, and organizational prioritiesServe as a trusted advisor and coach to senior executives on organizational health, leadership effectiveness, succession planning, and talent strategyLead organization design initiatives, including structural evolution, spans and layers analysis, workforce optimization, and transformation planningDrive enterprise workforce planning and capability strategies, identifying future-critical skills and aligning investments with business prioritiesLead succession planning and leadership pipeline development across Corporate Functions while supporting enterprise talent mobility initiativesPartner cross-functionally with Finance, Strategy, Legal, Compliance, and HR Centers of Excellence to ensure alignment between people strategy, governance, and operational executionSupport and guide complex organizational change initiatives, restructuring efforts, and sensitive employee matters with strong executive judgment and discretionMonitor leadership, capability, and organizational risks while ensuring consistent application of enterprise governance standardsAlign regional HR execution with global functional priorities to ensure consistency across the North America regionLead and develop a team of HR Business Partners supporting Corporate Functions across North AmericaMore about you:Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or related field required12+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, including strategic HR Business Partner support to senior executives and enterprise functional leadersDemonstrated expertise in organizational design, workforce planning, succession management, and organizational effectivenessProven experience leading transformation, restructuring, and change management initiatives within complex organizationsStrong executive presence with the ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders while building trusted partnershipsExperience operating within matrixed, global, and multi-regional organizationsStrong business acumen with the ability to align people strategies to enterprise performance prioritiesExceptional judgment, resilience, and ability to navigate ambiguity, complexity, and sensitive organizational mattersExperience partnering across HR Centers of Excellence and regional HR teams to drive enterprise-wide outcomesAdvanced proficiency with HRIS systems, workforce analytics, and data visualization tools such as Power BI preferredMBA, executive coaching certification, or change management certification preferredA minimum of 200Mb/sec download and 10Mb/sec upload speed internet connectivity is required to support any remote/hybrid employee functionality at Sonova.Don’t meet all the criteria?
