What Can You Expect From ALPLAHealth and Wellness Care Program- BenefitsChild Care BenefitsDependent Care Cost Savings ProgramRecognition programs; Promotional opportunities401K Retirement Plan and excellent Matching PlanMedical, dental, vision planEducation assistance program/tuition reimbursementShort term, long term and life insurance paid by ALPLAPaid vacation; paid holidays What You Will Enjoy Doing Main Responsibilities:Promotes safety programs to ensure safe work practicesCreates and conducts remote and on-site training in all aspects of SafetyProvides support of timely reporting and investigating of all reported safetyincidents as well as trend analyses to determine root cause issuesInspects and audits NOAM plants to identify and address potential safety hazards andto ensure compliance with Safety policies and proceduresAssists NOAM plants in creating responses to all governmental bodiesManages and audits contractors on site (as needed)Ensures internal HSE policies and practices are current and appropriateSchedules regional Safety meetings/program reviews across all locationsProvides leadership, coaching and mentoring of other Safety team membersAddress specific reporting and record keeping requirements of OSHA, EPA, etc., as well as other pertinent safety/regulatory compliance as directed by HS&E Manager What Makes You Great Education: HS Diploma and/or minimum two years advanced studies, preferred Experience: Minimum three years working experience in general industry requiredMinimum two years full time working experience in the Safety field required Skills:Excellent skills in Microsoft Office SuiteExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsDemonstrated attention to detailProficient in Adobe, Photoshop, and IllustratorAbove average organizational skillsKnowledgeable of mechanical (maintenance) systems and food grade regulatoryComplianceWork under tight time linesPrioritize work assignments among conflicting demandsAdapt to changing work environmentsCommunicate with site personnel (frontline and supervision)Build collaborative relationships.Handle moderately complex issues and problems, refer more complex issues to HSE ManagerInfluence othersPursue educational opportunities to maintain competence in Safety field Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
