CHARTER Program Assistant

The CHARTER Program Assistant works with a multidisciplinary team that serves residents in a Permanent Supportive Housing environment who have a severe mental illness, co-occurring disorders, and a history of homelessness. The Program Assistant will be responsible for executing various administrative tasks in addition to providing assistance and support to the CHARTER team and residents. Tasks include but are not limited to creating systems of the organization; updating spreadsheets and other data documents; organizing and conducting resident intake and discharge documentation; participating in, and at times, facilitating training; communicating with various community partners; scheduling appointments, and assisting with various other program and office needs. Pay range is: $50,000 - $54,000 4-day work week – 9-hour days Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in business, English, Social Work, or other related field Experience with mental health and substance use is preferred A valid driver's license Our full-time benefits include: 36-hour work week! Generous paid time off allowance (this increases with tenure) Generous holiday policy (15 observed holidays a year including your birthday) 401(k) employer matching (up to 5%) Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance Opportunity for annual merit increase and annual bonus Job Duties assigned, but not limited to: Works in concert with the Program Manager to ensure information is gathered and communicated effectively Collaborates with clinical case managers, counselors, peer support staff, the medical department, and outside agencies to meet the varying needs of the residents Gathers appropriate releases of information to ensure compliance with both the Federal Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR 42 and 45) Role models pro-social behavior and attitudes to residents Utilizes software programs as needed (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel) Attends all relevant employee training classes and staff meetings Coordinates ongoing communication with community providers regarding applications and waitlist information Conducts intake appointments with new clients to complete all admissions paperwork Schedules appointments and meetings for clinical staff For more information about our non-profit organization, you can visit our website at www.firststephouse.org All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or status as a protected veteran.
