Trinity Manufacturing, Inc. provides opportunities for professional growth in a hands-on environment where technical skills and initiative are recognized and developed.Role Description The Process Engineer will work on-site full time at Trinity Manufacturing, Inc.’s facility in Hamlet, NC, supporting daily plant operations and continuous improvement initiatives. This role is responsible for monitoring process performance, analyzing production data, and implementing adjustments to improve efficiency, quality, and safety. The Process Engineer will develop and update process documentation, standard operating procedures, and operating parameters, while collaborating with operations, maintenance, quality, and EHS teams to troubleshoot equipment and process issues. Responsibilities include identifying and executing process improvement projects, supporting root-cause investigations for nonconformances, assisting with plant trials and equipment start-ups, and ensuring processes comply with regulatory and company standards. The role also involves providing technical support to production staff, training team members on new or modified processes, and participating in cross-functional projects that enhance overall plant reliability.Qualifications Strong foundation in process engineering principles, including mass and energy balances, unit operations, and process optimization.Proficiency in data analysis and problem-solving, using tools such as SPC, root-cause analysis, and basic statistical methods.Ability to develop, document, and improve standard operating procedures and work instructions for manufacturing processes.Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (operations, maintenance, quality, EHS) in a plant or industrial environment.Familiarity with process safety, risk assessment, and safe work practices in a manufacturing or chemical processing setting.Effective communication skills, including the ability to present technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline (or equivalent relevant experience).Previous on-site manufacturing experience, preferably in process or production engineering, is strongly preferred.Comfort working in a hands-on plant environment, including time spent on the production floor observing and troubleshooting processes.
