Overview:
As an Engineering and Technology Manager, you lead a high-performing team and drive technical excellence to support program success. You shape the team's direction, foster innovation, and partner with cross-functional groups to meet engineering goals. You will coach, develop, and assess talent while ensuring adherence to engineering processes. This role offers impact through leadership of structural and dynamic analyses within a mission-focused defense environment. Responsibilities:
- Provide technical coaching and mentoring to team members
- Assign work, develop employee careers, and offer ongoing feedback
- Coordinate recruitment, selection, and training of staff
- Conduct performance assessments, salary planning, and recognition/disciplinary actions
- Develop engineering competencies and promote customer focus
- Support program development, execution, and adherence to engineering development processes
Key requirements:
- Engineering management or team-lead experience with task planning, budget management, subcontract management and/or mentoring
- Ability to collaborate with multi-functional teams
- Full Lifecycle Development Experience
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex technical systems/programs
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Extensive experience in a structural & dynamics analysis engineering role
- Experience leading structural analysis efforts and defining tasks/schedules
- Extensive finite element modeling with ANSA, Nastran, Abaqus, NX, FEMAP, Patran, and/or HyperMeshFinal secret clearance
