SQL Developer – SME (Contractor)Pay Rate: $69.70/hrLocation: Allen, TX (Hybrid)Work Schedule: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday onsiteContract Duration: 3–6 months About the Role:Seeking an SME SQL Developer Contractor to support a high-profile project focused on improving database performance and efficiency for a WAVE Tactical Push-to-Talk on-premise solution. This role requires strong expertise in bare metal environments, high-performance database optimization, and high availability systems.The developer will be part of an Agile team supporting the full software development lifecycle, including functional and design specifications, development oversight, QA handoff, sprint deliverables, and collaboration with cross-functional technical teams.Responsibilities:Improve the performance and efficiency of databases for the WAVE Tactical Push to Talk on-premise solution.Prepare functional and design specifications, oversee the development process, and hand off deliverables to the Quality Assurance Team.Collaborate with management, other developers, and cross-functional technical teams to manage release expectations and ensure specifications are met.Support the full product development lifecycle as part of an Agile team.Requirements:5+ years SQL Development experienceMS SQL Server (SQL Server 2022 expertise)Advanced T-SQL (stored procedures, UDFs, triggers)Physical database design and storage optimizationPerformance tuning (SQL Profiler, Extended Events, Query Store)High Availability (HA) supportLegacy database modernization and refactoringSecurity (roles and permissions management)Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT, Telecommunications, or related fieldWho We AreSGF Global is an integrated talent solutions provider, offering staffing, recruitment, Employer of Record (EOR), nearshore, and consulting services across a wide range of industries in 35 countries.We’re a dynamic, people-first organization where fresh ideas are always welcome.
