Overview
We are seeking an Operations Manager to oversee daily manufacturing operations for a growing precision machining facility serving the aerospace industry. This role will focus on safety, quality, productivity, on-time delivery, and continuous improvement while leading a cross-functional manufacturing team.
Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day operations across machining, production, scheduling, and support functions
Lead and develop manufacturing personnel to achieve operational goals
Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining quality and delivery standards
Drive process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize machine utilization
Partner with Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to improve operational performance
Implement Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
Monitor KPIs related to productivity, quality, labor efficiency, and on-time delivery
Support capacity planning, workforce planning, and resource allocation
Maintain a safe and organized work environment
Assist with customer requirements and growth initiatives as the business expands
Qualifications
3+ years of Operations Management, Production Management, or Manufacturing Leadership experience
Experience in a CNC machining, aerospace manufacturing, precision machining, or metalworking environment
Understanding of 5-axis machining operations and manufacturing workflows preferred
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, and operational excellence principles
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities
Experience managing schedules, production flow, and employee performance
Ability to lead in a fast-paced, customer-focused manufacturing environment
Preferred Background
Aerospace, defense, medical device, or other highly regulated manufacturing experience
Experience supporting AS9100 or ISO 9001 certified operations
Background in high-mix, low-volume precision machining environments
