Software Engineer - Machine Learning

Responsibilities Set direction and goals for a sizable team in terms of project impact, ML system design, and ML excellence Adapt standard machine learning methods for modern parallel environments Lead large efforts to reduce technical debt, driving major initiatives across multiple teams Serve as a go-to person for complex performance and evaluation issues in production Develop scalable classifiers and tools leveraging machine learning, data regression, and rules-based models Create feature roadmaps and code deliverables alongside the engineering team Requirements 8+ years of experience in software engineering or a related field (4+ years if you have a PhD) 6+ years of experience in machine learning, recommendation systems, data mining, or artificial intelligence Experience in scripting languages such as Python, Javascript, or Hack Experience leading major initiatives and shipping high-quality work Expertise in developing machine learning models at scale, from inception to business impact Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical field Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field Experience with architectural patterns of large-scale software applications Familiarity with machine learning tools such as PyTorch and TensorFlow Job Type: Full-time Pay: Up to $251,000.00 per year Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Experience: software engineering, or a relevant field: 8 years (Required) ML, pattern recognition, data mining, AI, or related fields: 6 years (Required) Ability to Relocate: Burlingame, CA: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
