Pharmacy Technician

Job Title: Pharmacy TechnicianLocation: Burr Ridge, IL, 60527Contract: 03+ months with possible contract to hireShift: Monday to Friday (05:30 pm - 02:00 am, weekend rotation 11:00 am - 07:30 pm)Hours Per week: 40 hours per week. Pharmacy Floor TechnicianPicking, labeling, scanning and otherwise preparing the finished prescription for final verification by a pharmacistResponsibilities:Fills daily drug orders accurately and efficiently in a timely manner, under the supervision of a pharmacistAssists in processing returned drugs and recycle/dispose per procedureAssist in prepacking frequently ordered medications, label and store, as needed during low volume timesPackages materials and products manuallyPull/pick medications from shelving and other medication storage areas (prepack racks)Applies labels to blister cards and then scans product for accuracy checkAlerts pharmacist on duty of any medication/product that is not scanning properlyMaintains designated workstation areas and replenishes all stock supplies neededFollow all applicable government regulations including HIPPAOvertime, holidays and weekends may be required and/or expectedComplies with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code.Other duties as assignedMinimum (Required): (must be met in order to perform the job at the required level)High School diploma or equivalentAbility to work at a moderate speedAbility to read, write, speak and understand EnglishPossess and Maintain a Clear and Active IL Pharmacy Technician License issued by IL Board of PharmacyPreferred: (if above and beyond the minimum required)Previous pharmacy technician experiencePhysical Demands:May sit, stand, stoop, bend and walk intermittently during the day. May sit or stand seven (7) to ten (10) hours per day. May be necessary to work extended hours as needed. Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required. May need to lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds on occasion. Visual acuity to see and read fine prints. Specific vision abilities required by this role include close vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to hear normal voice sounds.
