Senior Manufacturing Engineer
Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer to support manufacturing operations in Plymouth, Minnesota. This role is responsible for designing and improving manufacturing processes, tooling, fixtures, and production systems to meet daily production goals while enhancing productivity, quality, and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality or packaging, process improvement, and lean manufacturing principles.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes, tooling, and fixtures. Support daily production schedules while improving product quality and operational efficiency. Lead projects involving new production equipment, process improvements, and cost reduction initiatives. Support new product introductions and ensure smooth manufacturing integration. Conduct Process FMEAs and process validations. Improve labor efficiency and throughput using Lean Manufacturing concepts. Coordinate the design, procurement, build, and debugging of tooling, machinery, and test equipment. Collaborate with Product Development teams to ensure Design for Manufacturability (DFM). Provide technical mentorship and guidance to engineers and technicians. Work effectively with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives. Support Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and regulatory compliance requirements. Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline preferred. Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Quality Engineering or Packaging Engineering. Hands-on experience in manufacturing process development and continuous improvement. Strong understanding of process validation, PFMEA, and root cause problem-solving tools. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Preferred QualificationsSix Sigma certification or exposure preferred. Experience in regulated manufacturing environments preferred. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
