Application Systems Python Developer (Onsite)Location: Raleigh, NC Duration: 12 Months with possible extensionThe Client is seeking a skilled Application Systems Python Developer to design, develop, and support data pipelines, dashboards, integrations, and migration processes across enterprise systems within the Client. This role plays a key part in moving data between legacy and modern platforms, ensuring data quality, and enabling analytics and automation through Python and Power BI.Key Responsibilities:Develop and maintain data migration scripts, ETL pipelines, and automation workflows using PythonDesign, build, and optimize data models for reporting and analyticsCreate interactive dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions using Power BIPerform data extraction, transformation, validation, and loading between databases, APIs, and enterprise systemsOptimize data processes for speed, reliability, and scalabilityWork with SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects to support migration and reportingIntegrate data from multiple sources, including cloud apps, on premises systems, and flat filesCollaborate with business teams to define reporting needs and translate them into technical solutionsAnalyze data quality issues, reconcile datasets, and implement best practices for data integrityImplement automation for recurring data tasks and reporting workflowsMaintain documentation for data processes, source mappings, and migration stepsParticipate in architecture, design, and planning sessions for data modernization projectsRequired Skill:Strong troubleshooting ability and attention to detail.Skills:Strong hands-on experience with Python - Required - 7 YearsProficiency with Power BI - Required - 5 YearsStrong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL, Ingres) - Required - 7 YearsSenior level experience writing optimized SQL queries and analyzing existing SQL queries for performance improvements - Required - 7 YearsSolid understanding of SOAP/REST APIs, backend architecture, and microservices - Required - 5 YearsExperience designing and executing data migration or data conversion projects - Required - 7 YearsUnderstanding of data governance, security, and compliance requirements - Required - 7 YearsFamiliarity with legacy system migration projects - Highly desired - 5 YearsExperience with large-scale migration or modernization initiatives - Highly desired - 5 YearsExperience with Java development - Highly desired - 5 YearsExperience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) - Desired - 3 YearsKnowledge of Power BI administration, workspaces, gateways, and deployment strategies - Desired - 3 YearsExperience with version control (Git/Subversion) and CI/CD pipelines - Desired - 3 YearsExperience with Perl for scripting, system utilities, or legacy app maintenance - Nice to have - 3 YearsExperience developing/maintaining applications Zope application server - RequiredExperience developing/maintaining Plone CMS applications - Required
