Chocolates Packaging Assistant L.A. Burdick Chocolates, celebrated for its exquisite artisanal chocolates, pastries, and beverages, is looking for full-time packers. The packing team plays an important role in creating the beautiful presentation of chocolates that the company is known for. We offer a full benefits package to our full-time employees, flexible hours to support parents with school aged children, etc. Responsibilities Inspect and quality-check finished products and packaging materials by thoroughly reviewing size, shape, texture, and other characteristics based on company’s strict quality and specification standards Hand-pack finished products into boxes, bags, and other packaging containers Hand-tie bows on boxes Prepare boxes and baskets needed for packaging finished products using specified sealing wax, liners, inserts, pads, and other materials Weigh and count to ensure correct quantity in each box or bag Mark and apply labels to packages Stock packaging materials and other supplies in proper storage locations Maintain a clean and safe work area by complying with company procedures and regulations May be assigned other duties as needed Skills, Traits, and Experiences An appreciation for aesthetics, symmetry, and standardization An eye for detail Well-organized and able to maintain a clean work area Reliable, honest, hardworking, and committed Ability to accurately weigh, count, measure, and perform basic math such as addition and subtraction Flexibility and willingness to work longer hours during peak seasons Ability to perform repetitive tasks Good hand-eye coordination and finger dexterity Ability to stand for a full shift Ability to bend, squat, twist, and reach above shoulder level and below waist level to, for example, grab boxes Benefits Performance-based bonus Medical Insurance (Includes Wellness Incentive) Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Paid Time Off Company-matched 401K Voluntary life and disability plans Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Complimentary chocolate tastings throughout the year Discount on all products Founded in 1987, L.A.
