Substitute Bus Driver 2025-2026 Continuous Recruitment
Operate a school bus and perform safety checks and minor maintenance tasks in connection with such operations. Considerable responsibility for the safety of passengers carried on regularly scheduled trips; maintain a clean bus; attend meetings and classes as required; provide students with training; and perform related work as required. Good knowledge of the operation of a bus; good knowledge of safety practices; traffic laws and regulations; ability to follow detailed oral and written directions; ability to relate with the public in a positive manner and handle sensitive human problems; mechanical aptitude; dependability; good judgment; and physical condition to commensurate with the demands of the position.
Must possess a valid Class A or B license with P and S endorsements, must be at least 21 years of age, and must complete training requirements specified by NYSED pursuant to 8NYCRR Education al Part 156.
