Presentation DesignerReports to: Head of DesignLocation: ATL or NYCPurposeYou will be responsible for creating, crafting and producing compelling presentations across clients and New Biz. The ability to lean in on additional design asks is a bonus.ResponsibilitiesLead the design and execution of high-stakes presentations, including new business pitches, client presentations, and internal PowerPoints and Google Slides presentationsTranslate complex strategic and creative ideas into clear, compelling visual narratives with strong pacing and flowPartner closely with Creatives, Strategists, and Account teams to shape presentation storylines—not just execute themDesign and maintain premium presentation templates, master slides, and asset libraries to ensure consistency and scalability across the agencyCreate bespoke visual assets (infographics, diagrams, mockups, iconography, and image compositions) to elevate storytellingTranslate complex concepts into easily digestible, beautiful visualsOwn the end-to-end presentation process, including version control, file management, and final delivery readinessLead or guide freelancers during high-pressure pitch cyclesEnsure all work meets a high standard of craft, including typography, layout, alignment, and visual consistencyTroubleshoot and prepare decks for live presentation environments (presenter notes, exports, AV readiness)Assist on additional design asks when necessary and availableCompetenciesNarrative Thinking: Ability to structure and refine story arcs, understanding pacing, hierarchy, and audience engagementCreative Judgment: Knows when to simplify, when to amplify, and when to push for a stronger visual or conceptual approachCollaboration: Works fluidly across disciplines and levels, contributing as a creative partner rather than a production resourceOwnership & Accountability: Takes full responsibility for the quality and delivery of presentation work, especially under tight deadlinesComposure Under Pressure: Maintains clarity, speed, and attention to detail in high-stakes, fast-paced environmentsAttention to Detail: Obsessive about precision—alignment, spacing, resolution, and consistencyAdaptability: Comfortable shifting between different brands, tones, and presentation styles depending on the client or pitchProfessional Skills & KnowledgeExpert-level proficiency in PowerPoint and Google Slides (including master slides, templates, and advanced formatting)Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and Illustrator required; After Effects a plus)Deep understanding of design fundamentals: typography, layout, color theory, and visual hierarchyAbility to create data visualizations and translate complex information into clear, digestible graphicsStrong file organization and version control practicesUnderstanding of presentation environments, including screen formats, exports, and live presentation requirementsExperience4-5+ years of experience in a creative agency or equivalent high-performance environmentProven track record of designing high-quality, client-facing presentations, especially for new business and pitch workPortfolio demonstrating both system thinking (templates, consistency) and high-impact storytelling (hero slides, narrative flow)Experience collaborating with senior creative and strategy stakeholdersExperience working under tight deadlines and managing multiple concurrent projectsPrior experience mentoring or guiding junior designers is a plusAbout IrisParticipate or perish. There may also be a more senior or junior position available that could be a better fit with your expertise. Each level has its own compensation range.We pride ourselves on competitive salaries, and ensuring pay equity exists across our organization.
