Assistant Store Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable, customer-oriented Assistant Store Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will support daily operations by providing exceptional customer service, maintaining clean and organized aisles, restocking shelves, and assisting with inventory management. You will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming, positive shopping experience for our customers while working in a fast-paced team environment.Key Responsibilities:· Customer Service: Greet customers, answer product questions, and assist in finding items.· Stocking & Merchandising: Unload, stock, and rotate products on shelves, in coolers, and in freezers to ensure freshness (FEFO - First Expired, First Out).· Store Maintenance: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized store environment by sweeping, mopping, and cleaning up spills promptly.· Inventory Control: Assist with receiving, checking in, and organizing deliveries.· Cashier Support: Operate the cash register, process transactions, and assist with bagging groceries as needed.· Safety Compliance: Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.· Answering Phones: General questions and orders.Requirements & Qualifications:· Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.· Experience: Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus.· Physical Ability: Capable of standing/walking for extended periods and ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.· Schedule Flexibility: Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.· Skills: Excellent communication skills, basic math skills, and the ability to work well in a team environment.Why Work With Us?· Competitive hourly rate ($17- $20/hr), depending on experience).· Employee discounts.· Opportunities for career advancement into management roles.
