AVP, Venmo Campaign and Initiatives Manager

Role Summary/PurposeThe Venmo AVP Campaign & Initiatives Manager will be responsible for flawless execution of the Venmo co-brand portfolio programs, while establishing a strong and productive partnership with the client to achieve or exceed portfolio goals. The successful candidate will implement strategies that deliver on our growth commitments and generate new insights in a test-and-learn environment. The AVP Campaign & Initiatives Manager should have expertise in digital marketing channels and be focused on continual innovation and learning in the space to provide a great customer experience. The role will flex across the co-brand marketing team to lead development and execution of key initiatives, including managing the team's operating rhythm.Essential ResponsibilitiesFlawless execution of Venmo Co-Brand programs, following all processes and meeting all requirements of the businessPartner with the client and co-brand marketing team on growth initiatives to meet or exceed portfolio goalsDevelop and execute programs to drive new accounts, sales and loyalty through the entire customer lifecycleManage cardholder communications across a variety of digital and offline channels, throughout the customer journeyDevelop product lifecycle strategies and partner with cross-functional teams to deliver on initiatives to influence and change cardholder behaviorWork with internal, client and external resources to manage development of digital assets, research plans, product prototypes, and marketing collateral (including acquisition and lifecycle)Have a digital mindset to develop effective creatives, track program performance, and maximize customer performance across all our digital engagement channelsWillingness and flexibility to change direction when neededBuild and maintain a strong, trusting, and productive partnership with VenmoManage marketing budget tracking, invoice processing & monthly reconciliation for specific marketing programs and special initiativesManage program spend within contractual obligations of the marketing fundParticipate in cross-functional product, channel and customer experience IT builds to support various growth initiativesParticipate in the development of marketing plans, including the annual growth plan. Coordinate across the team and with the client on the internal PAR / budgeting processEnsure compliance with all internal & external legal and regulatory requirementsWork with Analytics teams to plan campaigns (targeting strategy) and assess campaign performance to iterate on targeting hypothesesMonitor industry trends to influence product enhancements and customer experience outcomesAbility to identify, prioritize, and gain alignment to execute key initiativesEffective internal partnership across functions at all levels of the organizationMonitor and accurately forecast program performance. Understand actual performance against forecast to improve go-forward strategiesPartner with the Synchrony COE Product and Digital teams to gain learnings that influence growth strategiesPerform other duties and/or special projects as assignedQualifications / RequirementsBachelor's Degree or, in lieu of a degree, a high school equivalent plus 9+ years of marketing experience within the credit card or financial services industry5+ years of marketing and/or retail client portfolio experienceGood understanding of credit, payments, and digital marketingWillingness to travel 25%Ability and flexibility to travel for business as requiredDesired CharacteristicsCommitment to flawless execution, including following all processes and requirementsExhibit Leadership and presence to advance key initiativesExceptional relationship building and client leadership abilitiesStrong analytical skillsExcellent oral and written communication skillsAbility to work cross-functionally and in a small team environmentSalary and CompensationSalary range: $90,000.00 - $155,000.00 USD annually. Eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance. Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.Our Way Of WorkingWe're proud to offer flexibility.
