Senior Forensic Engineer Inspector (Greensboro, NC)
The Job
As a senior forensic engineer, you will train new field inspectors, review reports, assist with field inspections, develop advanced training materials, meet with junior engineers for complex or large loss investigations, and mentor them in assessment and report creation.
You will perform and assist with field inspections of commercial, residential, and municipal buildings (interior and exterior), including climbing on steep and high roofs. The company provides safety equipment and training; you must be comfortable with heights.
About Us
This is a remote position. The company supplies all tools, equipment, and a pickup truck, as well as training and safety gear.

What Background You Need
PE license (or eligibility to obtain one within one month of hire).
4+ years of forensic engineering experience.
No other experience required; the company’s in‑depth training covers all needed skills.
Potential for Increased Starting Salary
Candidates with a structural background, roofing, construction, code verification, structural damage assessments, flood or water loss evaluations, settlement or geotechnical failures, or root‑cause analyses may receive higher starting salaries.
Experienced candidates are eligible for higher starting salaries and earlier entry to the bonus incentive program.
Requirements
Must have a PE license from resident state or obtain one within one month of hire.
Physically demanding work: lift, carry, climb up and down a 36‑ft extension ladder, walk on sloped roofing surfaces; safety training and equipment provided.
Excellent computer skills (coding experience not required).
Valid driver’s license with clean/safe driving record.
Flexible schedule to support appointment appointments on inspection days and report days for remote work.
