Position Summary The Cook plays a key role in creating an exceptional dining experience for our residents. This position is responsible for preparing from scratch nutritious, delicious meals with care, ensuring each resident feels at home through quality food and a welcoming atmosphere. The ideal candidate is passionate about serving seniors, skilled in culinary preparation, and committed to maintaining high standards of safety and hospitality. Key Responsibilities of the Cook · Prepare meals according to menus, dietary restrictions, and resident preferences · Ensure proper food handling, safety, and sanitation practices · Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and food‑prep environment · Assist with inventory, ordering, and stocking of food supplies · Collaborate with the Dining Services team to provide an enjoyable meal experience · Support special events, celebrations, and resident‑centered dining activities · Build positive relationships with residents by delivering meals with warmth and respect Qualifications of the Cook · Previous cooking or food‑service experience required; senior living or healthcare setting preferred · Knowledge of food safety, kitchen operations, and sanitation standards · Ability to follow recipes, menus, and dietary guidelines · Strong time‑management and organizational skills · Compassionate, reliable, and dedicated to serving seniors · Ability to work collaboratively in a team‑focused environment Why Join Parsons House?
