Job DescriptionConstruction Inspectors - Mechanical, Structural, ElectricalOur client is seeking experienced Construction Inspectors to support a large-scale aviation infrastructure project including terminal expansion, airfield improvements, and campus-wide upgrades. They are currently hiring a Mechanical Inspector, Structural Inspector, and Electrical Inspector - Low Voltage. Candidates with prior aviation or airport construction experience are strongly preferred. This is a multi-year, big-budget direct hire opportunity.Company ProfileAviation InfrastructureConstruction Inspectors - Mechanical, Structural, Electrical Role:Mechanical InspectorFocus: HVAC systems, hydronic piping, mechanical equipment, automation, and energy systems.Responsibilities include:Inspect installation, operation, and maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systemsReview mechanical drawings and project specifications to confirm compliance with codes and design standardsPerform pressure testing and functional checks on mechanical systemsDocument inspection results and report deficienciesMonitor work to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality assurance protocolsStructural Inspector (CWI Preferred)Focus: Structural steel, welding, reinforced concrete, and foundation systems.Responsibilities include:Inspect structural steel installations including bolting, welding, coatings, and alignmentVerify reinforced concrete placement, rebar spacing, curing, and formworkInspect post-tensioned or prestressed concrete systemsReview masonry reinforcement and construction methodsObserve deep foundation systems including drilled shafts, anchors, and pilesCoordinate and witness material testing including weld tests and NDT methodsElectrical Inspector - Low Voltage SystemsFocus: Communications, security, fire alarm, access control, and data cabling systems.Responsibilities include:Inspect low-voltage systems to ensure compliance with contract specifications and electrical codesVerify performance testing, grounding, labeling, and system integrationWitness functional testing and commissioning of low-voltage infrastructurePrepare inspection reports and track deficiencies through resolutionProvide final documentation for commissioning and project closeoutConstruction Inspectors - Mechanical, Structural, Electrical Background Profile:10+ years of construction inspection experienceAviation or airport construction experience strongly preferredExperience with runways, taxiways, terminals, or underground utilitiesKnowledge of environmental regulations and construction codesFamiliarity with discipline-specific codes (e.g., NEC, IMC, IPC, SMACNA, IBC, IEEE)Ability to interpret contract documents, specifications, and inspection reportsAbility to pass a TSA criminal history background checkValid Driver's LicenseCertified Welding Inspector (CWI) - Structural (preferred)Relevant electrical or mechanical inspection certificationsFeatures and Benefits:Salary plus Cost of Living bonusPTO and HolidaysHealthcare Plans401k planJob Requirements• 10+ years construction inspection experience• Aviation/airport construction experience preferred (runways, taxiways, terminals, underground utilities)• Familiar with environmental regulations and codesAdditional InformationFrontline Source Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
