Senior Machine Learning Engineer

This organisation is at the forefront of adopting state-of-the-art AI research to create simpler, safer, and more intelligent banking experiences.The AI Foundations team within this organisation is dedicated to developing advanced Large Language Models (LLMs) and autonomous agentic systems capable of complex reasoning and real-world problem-solving. They focus on foundational model architecture, operational efficiency, and responsible AI practices to ensure all systems are trustworthy and scalable.The Role Design, build, and deliver ML models and components to solve real-world business problems in collaboration with Product and Data Science teams Inform ML infrastructure decisions based on understanding of ML modeling techniques (e.g., model choice, data/feature selection, training, hyperparameter tuning) Solve complex problems by writing and testing application code, developing and validating ML models, and automating tests and deployment Collaborate within a cross-functional Agile team to enhance software for state-of-the-art big data and ML applications Retrain, maintain, and monitor models in production environments Leverage or build cloud-based architectures to deliver optimized ML models at scale and construct optimized data pipelinesWhat You'll Need Bachelor's Degree At least 4 years of programming experience with Python, Scala, or Java At least 3 years of experience designing and building data-intensive solutions using distributed computing At least 2 years of on-the-job experience with an industry-recognized ML framework (scikit-learn, PyTorch, Dask, Spark, or TensorFlow) At least 1 year of experience productionizing, monitoring, and maintaining models in productionWhat's On Offer Opportunity to work on state-of-the-art AI research and LLMs Collaborative Agile environment focused on innovation Focus on responsible AI practices and scalable systems Comprehensive, competitive, and inclusive benefits packageApply via Haystack today!
