Compensation & LocationLocation: Torrance, CAPay Range: $59.00 – $66.00 per hour (based on experience and internal equity)Schedule: Full-time, contract; long-term opportunityWork Type: 4 days onsite, 1 day remoteBenefits: Health, Vision, Dental, Life Insurance, 401k, Continuing and on-demand education📍 Must be willing to work onsite in Torrance, CA (LA County)✅ Sponsorship is available for this role‼️ ONLY W2 – NO CORP to CORP – NO 3rd PartiesPosition OverviewWe are seeking a Mainframe Business Analyst / Developer to support enterprise parts applications and supply chain systems.This role blends business analysis, development, and solution architecture, requiring strong mainframe expertise and the ability to drive end-to-end delivery across medium to large-scale projects.Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Analysis & Requirements• Gather and analyze business requirements for enterprise applications• Translate requirements into functional specifications and technical solutions• Manage assigned units of work ranging from enhancements to large-scale projectsDevelopment & System Delivery• Develop and support applications using COBOL, CICS, JCL, IMS, VSAM, and DB2• CICS, IMS, JCL, MQ Series EXPERIENCE MUST HAVE SKILLS• Perform unit testing, integration testing, system testing, and support UAT• Support implementation and post-production warranty activitiesArchitecture & Solution Design• Define architectural solutions to meet application and business requirements• Support multi-tier and cross-platform system design across enterprise environments• Align solutions with enterprise technology standards and roadmapsProject Execution & Collaboration• Provide status updates to project managers and team leads• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across business and IT• Support Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologiesProduction Support & Optimization• Troubleshoot issues across applications and platforms• Support system enhancements and performance improvementsRequired Qualifications• Strong experience with IBM mainframe technologies (COBOL, CICS, JCL, IMS, VSAM, DB2)• Experience with MQ Series• Experience with full SDLC including analysis, design, development, testing, & implementation• Strong business analysis and requirements gathering experience• Understanding of multi-tier and cross-platform architectures• Experience working in Agile and/or Waterfall environments• Strong collaboration and communication skillsPreferred Qualifications• Experience with Microsoft technologies (.NET Core, MVC, C#, Angular)• Experience in automotive parts systems, warehousing, or supply chain• Strong understanding of enterprise IT architecture and strategy• 3+ years of Big 4 consulting experience• Stable work history within large enterprise organizations
