This role provides leadership to small- to mid-sized teams of Pharmacists, Technicians, and Clerks within ourfulfillment pharmacy. You will serve as a subject matter expert, ensuring high-quality outcomes, regulatory compliance, and efficient daily operations. The ideal candidate brings strong organization, attention to detail, and demonstrated management experience.Address:7085 Samuel Morse Dr., Columbia, MD 21046Hours:The pharmacy is open 24/7. The schedule will vary based on the need.Primary Responsibilities:Leadership & Performance ManagementProvide real-time feedback and coaching to team membersMonitor employee productivity and deliver constructive feedbackHelp staff understand performance expectations and goalsConduct quality assurance reviews and annual performance evaluationsAssist in hiring and onboarding processesCreate a culture of collaboration, recognition, inclusiveness, and diversityOperations & WorkflowOrganize workflow and delegate tasks effectivelyCoordinate task rotation and cross-trainingSchedule work hours and shiftsOversee emergency responses (e.g., facility issues, seasonal outbreaks)Verify prescription orders as neededInitiate, coordinate, and enforce operational policies and proceduresLead or support advanced projects as directed by site leadership3. Regulatory & ComplianceServe as Pharmacist-in-Charge when required- or -Collaborate closely with the Pharmacist-in-Charge to ensure compliance with all regulatory, quality, and safety standardsYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and/or PharmD from an accredited School of Pharmacy Current and unrestricted pharmacist licensure in MarylandActive, unrestricted pharmacy license in good standing Proven ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Proven ability to stand up to 8 hours with intermittent breaks Willingness to work overtime and occasional weekends as neededPreferred Qualifications:1+ years of experience in a pharmacy settingLeadership or supervisory experienceExperience in performance management and driving resultsProficiency with computers and pharmacy systems Proven solid multitasking and organizational abilities Proven excellent verbal and written communication skillsProven background in a production or high-volume environment Physical Demands and Work EnvironmentThe physical demands described here are representative of those that should be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:May sit or stand seven (7) to ten (10) hours per dayThe employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, walk, crawl intermittentlyMay be necessary to work extended hours as neededMay lift and/or move up to 25 poundsThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this roleWe OfferOptum Rx PharmScript offers a robust suite of benefits to support employees and their families. The salary for this role will range from $112,700to $193,200 annually based on full-time employment.
