ERVING Health Agent The Town of Erving, Massachusetts seeks motivated,community minded individuals for the position of Health Agent, full-time(40 hours/week), benefited. The Health Agent works under the directionof the Erving Board of Health and serves as the lead employee for a3-town, Franklin County Health Services Partnership, that represents thetowns of Erving, Northfield and Shutesbury. The Health Agent will workon a variety of public health matters that include, but are not limitedto, the inspections of housing, Title V, public pools, foodestablishments, and recreational camps. This is a public facing positionthat works directly with co-workers, citizens, property owners, and ourregional and State officials. Qualifications ABaccalaureate of Science degree in public health, or a related field;minimum of three to five (3 to 5) years of demonstrated experience in aprofessional or municipal setting. Demonstrated Department ofEnvironmental Protection coursework on state environmental code orpublic health topics is preferred. A Registered Sanitarian (RS)certification is ideal but not required; or any equivalent combinationOf Education, Training And Experience Which Provides The Requiredknowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions ofthe job may be considered. Special Requirements must possess aMassachusetts Class D motor vehicle operator\'s license Incumbents areexpected to attend, successfully participate in and receive certificatesof completion from recognized seminars and courses e.g., soil evaluator,pool operator, food inspection, lead enforcement/determination, septicinspection, housing code enforcement, infectious/communicable diseaserecognition, emergency dispensing site protocols, and post naturaldisaster planning.
