The original owners were R.V. Prokop, J.H. Moeller, and W.E. Barkley. The Bradley Family took ownership in 1938 and retained ownership until July of 2013 when a local group of investors purchased the bank appointing Jeff Johnson as President and Chairman of the Board.The Bank has grown substantially in many ways over the past few years. In 2004, the East Highway 30 location was opened, and since then several renovations to the downtown building have also occurred. They will enable business customer growth and retention in line with credit and risk strategies. The Agribusiness Loan Officer will "bring the bank to the customer" by connecting business customers with appropriate products including but not limited to, commercial deposit accounts, business planning, treasury services, and credit accounts.Key Accountabilities:Customer Relationship Management: Help customers be successful by understanding customer needs and matching with Columbus Bank solutions. This will be achieved by alignment with "how we will consistently get the work done".Proper use of DirectorProper use of NavigatorProper use of Sales Calling mindset to acquire new customersCollaborationBe respectful of other roles and processesCustomer Personas:The Agribusiness Loan Officer will manage portfolio relationships matching the skills, knowledge, and experience of the RM to the needs of the customers in their geography frameworkDeliver an Uncommon Understanding for customers and providing advice and value based on the customers financial needs and goals by;20% time spent acquiring new business40% time spent growing existing business40% time spent servicing existing businessBe accountable for managing a portfolio of 50 relationships averaging $50M loansBe accountable for managing a portfolio of 50 relationships averaging $50M depositsBusiness Development Activities:Build a portfolio of business customers by delivering advice and value. Build centers of influence (attorney, accountants, and other needed referral sources).RMs will guide, direct and facilitate solutions across all product specialties of the bank for their business customers.Participate and be involved as an active community member.Identify new business customer opportunities and solutions aligned to match customer needs.Oversee portfolio quality focused on growth and retention in line with credit risk.Facilitate product partners and support teams based on customer needs.Negotiate terms and options with customer.Qualify and document opportunities.Set expectations with customer regarding timeline and product document requirements.Leverage technology and tools consistently for data quality.Use sales and prospecting tools and processes, effectively.Cross Functional Working Relationships: Partner with other employees to optimize referral opportunities to meet the needs of the business customer.Compliance: Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties.Complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls, as required.Report any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations.Report any suspicious customer and/or account activity.Professionalism/Attendance: Exhibit professional behavior and promote positive working relationships at all times. Maintain regular and predictable attendance.Knowledge, Skills, Education and Experience:Bachelor's Degree and/or 5+ years of successful commercial lending relationship management experience.Ability to build and grow a diverse portfolio of business products with growing entrepreneurial businessesCustomer-focused thinkerStrong customer and people relationship skillsProficient credit analysis knowledge and skillsProven experience prioritizing and handling multiple customer relationships at the same time.
