Position Overview: The Watchmaker is responsible for providing in-store watch maintenance, service, and performing quality control checks on watches in a timely manner to satisfy the needs of our customers. This role requires formal training and experience performing full-service repairs on mechanical and automatic movements. Key Responsibilities: ● Conduct quality control on same-day serviced watches and advice Service/Sales Professionals if additional servicing is required. ● Perform quality repairs on all assigned client-owned merchandise, including complex quartz and mechanical watches. ● Assist other Watchmakers in resolving challenging repairs. ● Identify and requisition parts necessary for repairs. ● Communicate status updates to administrative staff and report areas of concern to management. ● Comply with all company policies and procedures, including departmental processes and best practices, such as Internal Audit, Human Resources, and Occupational Safety. Qualifications: ● At least 5 years of work experience in watchmaking or relevant certifications. ● Demonstrated ability to learn on the job. ● Willingness to be hands-on and work collaboratively with the team. ● A passion for watches and excellence in service. ● Detail-oriented with a mechanical aptitude. ● Technical school training (minimum of 2 years) and/or professional experience (minimum of 3-5 years).
