Provides help desk support services across the Clarksville hospital for basic IT support, systems administration, networking, performance tuning, monitoring and capacity planning while adhering to enterprise ITIL processes and procedures. Enforces policies and procedures for maintaining the security and integrity of the system and ensures the system meets availability and disaster recovery requirements. (Note: this role is on-site at the Clarksville Vanderbilt hospital)Key ResponsibilitiesProvides help desk support servicesSupports business computing environmentsAdministers and manages systemsProvides technical guidance to othersFollows relevant security policies and regulatory governancesThe responsibilities listed are a general overview of the position and additional duties may be assignedRequirementsIT Help Desk or IT support experienceStrong customer service skills & abilityBachelor's degree, preferably in Information Technology or Computer ScienceLocal to the Clarksville, TN areaTechnical CapabilitiesServer Monitoring and Tuning (Fundamental Awareness): Has exposure, light experience, or past experience working with performance data and knows how to get metrics data if directed by others. Can perform basic tracking of performance metrics, CPU utilizationServer Security (Novice): Has detailed knowledge of the functionality of security systems and understands how they work and interface with data, applications and systems. Able to explain and document the functionality of security requirements and how they relate to the business and an information security programServer Installation and Upgrade (Fundamental Awareness): Demonstrates a working knowledge of the utility programs required for installing and upgrading assignment-related software. Has a working knowledge of appropriate operation systems and access methodsServer Administration (Fundamental Awareness): Has training, direct exposure, light experience, or past experience working with the skillNetwork Operating Systems (Fundamental Awareness): Familiar with basic commands necessary to start and inquire on execution status of other processes. Can list content of files and directories.
