Project Manager, Industrial Self-Perform
Position OverviewThe Industrial Self Perform Project Manager is responsible for the safe, profitable, and timely execution of industrial construction projects from award through closeout. This role owns project planning, field execution, cost control, and margin performance while leading self‑perform crews in active industrial environments.Successful candidates are strong operators with financial discipline who take full ownership of results.Key ResponsibilitiesSafety & ComplianceLead and enforce the company Safety Program on assigned projectsPartner with Safety to develop and execute site‑specific safety plansProactively identify and eliminate safety risks and unsafe conditionsProject Planning & ExecutionManage projects from contract award through final closeoutDevelop and maintain project schedules, look‑aheads, and execution plansAnticipate schedule, cost, or scope risks and take early corrective actionEnsure compliance with contract requirements, quality standards, and company proceduresCost, Margin & Productivity ManagementOwn full project financial performance from start to finishDevelop job plans aligned with budgeted labor, production rates, and costsTrack and control labor productivity, equipment usage, and material costsIdentify margin erosion early and implement recovery plansReview cost reports and forecast final job costIdentify, price, and execute change orders promptlyField Leadership & CoordinationAlign field leadership with safety, cost, schedule, and productivity goalsCoordinate labor, materials, tools, and equipment efficientlyDirect self‑perform crews and coordinate subcontractors as requiredReview daily work progress and adjust resources to protect schedule and marginReporting & Client ManagementPrepare accurate internal and external project status and cost reportsObtain required permits and licensesMaintain strong client relationships while protecting company interestsIdentify and mitigate project risks impacting safety, cost, or scheduleQualificationsRequired3+ years of construction project management experience (industrial preferred)Strong knowledge of construction means and methodsExperience managing multiple projects in active industrial environmentsProven leadership, communication, and organizational skillsExperience with construction management softwareSelf‑starter with a strong customer service mindsetPreferredIndustrial self‑perform experiencePMP certification or equivalent experienceFamiliarity with safety programs, quality control, and schedule managementWhy Join UsStable, high‑volume industrial contractor with strong self‑perform capabilitiesSafety‑first culture with experienced field leadershipOpportunity to lead impactful industrial projectsCompetitive compensation and benefits
