Detail Landscaping Crew Leader (Detroit) - Anticipated Start in April 2026

We're looking for a Flower Team Crew Leader to join our team.THIS ROLE REQUIRES PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IN THIS ROLE AND THAT EXPERIENCE NEEDS TO BE ON YOUR RESUME.Interviews are not likely to start until End of MARCH and work is not expected start until Mid-End of April.THE PAY RANGE FOR THIS ROLE IS $19-$23 PER HOUR AND IS BASED ON PREVIOUS RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE AS WELL AS ANY LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS YOU HOLD.You might be a good fit if you have:Minimum 1 year Landscaping Crew Leader experienceMUST Have a Chauffer's License; must be currentMUST be able to obtain a DOT Medical Card (which includes a drug test)MDARD Pesticide Licenses (preferred)You'd be responsible for:Assiting your team in safely and efficiently completed assigned tasks such as: Planting; Watering; Fertilizing; Digging and Raking just to name a few.Installation of required materials for landscaping/irrigation/site developmentCrews production rates, quality control and safetyEnsuring that all employees are attending the weekly tailgate meetingConfirming that all employees are operating safely at all times including reviewing potential traffic hazards; performing hard hat checks and safety gear checks; underground alert reviews; other trades hazard review and performing general public safety checksMaintaining a hazardous communication folder including all relevant forms for chemicals used on the job siteReporting reckless or dangerous activities to job Superintendent; notify Safety Office of any accidents and submitting accident reports according to Company policyAnd while not mandatory, it would be great if you also have hands-on experience as well as the ability to manage associates performing these tasks:Knowledge of blueprintsAbility to lead others and manage crewsAble to be certified in first aidEffective written and oral communication skillsStrong attention to detailAbility to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environmentStrong work ethicBilingual (Spanish)Experience using hand equipment with mechanized moving blades such as gas powered shearsExperience using manual hand tools such as shovelsExperience working from elevated heights such as an 8" A-frame ladderExperience using a hand shovel for extended periodExperience moving soil, equipment, and materials, digs holes, and plant trees, shrubs and flowersAbility to work in extreme conditions - temperatures may exceed 100 degrees FahrenheitAbility to work in direct sunlight for extended periods of timeAbility to lift and carry 40 lbs. (mulch, fertilizer, etc.)Ability to load/unload burlaps with plant cuttings onto trailer (up to 50 lbs.)Ability to bend, stoop and twist continuously throughout the dayAbility to work in/or about situations near direct automotive trafficAbility to work near or about natural bodies of waterAbility to work 8+ hours per day with applicable breaks x 5 days/week (some overtime/weekend work required)Additionally, employees are expected to abide by all internal control & compliance practices to:Safeguard assets from theft and misuseEnsure segregation of duties to minimize fraudComply with business ethics, applicable laws and regulationMaintain confidentiality of proprietary informationPeriodically reconcile physical assets to accounting recordsHere's what to know about working here:At BrightView, we're a tight-knit crew who are as passionate about caring for our clients as we are about each other.
