The successful candidate will function as an integral member of a multi-contractor team providing program, engineering, and technical support to Air & Missile Defense programs. The selected engineer will have Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience and contribute to work on complex systems-level challenges, collaborate across disciplines, and help develop solutions that shape the future of Army Air Defense.Job Duties/ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities will include, but may not be limited to the following:Analyze, define, and manage system-level requirements, interfaces, and architectures supporting air defense to ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into solutions that consider technical, schedule, and cost constraintsBuild deep knowledge of integrated air and missile defense concepts, including sensors, weapons, communications, and command-and-control systemsApply MBSE techniques and tools such as Cameo or MagicDraw to support system design and analysisWork with cross-functional teams to ensure system components interface correctly and fulfill mission objectivesMaintain clear links between requirements, design elements, and test cases; manage changes and impact assessments across the system lifecycleMinimum Education And ExperienceBachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline with a minimum of 5 years of related experience, or a Master's degree with 3 years of related experienceRequired Knowledge, Skills And AbilitiesMust be able to support an in-person / closed-area work environmentExperience with MBSE tools (e.g., Cameo or MagicDraw)Proven ability to understand and define system interfaces, architecture, and behaviorExperience with requirements analysis, system architecture, and interface definitionExcellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, and prepare and brief presentations to the customer as neededSelf-motivated and mission-focusedDesired Knowledge, Skills And AbilitiesTechnical experience with Integrated Air & Missile Defense (IAMD) systems and sensors (e.g., PATRIOT, THAAD, LTAMDS, etc.) and their impact on a command-and-control system's architecture, requirements, and interfaces for communications between these systemsSystems Engineering experience in Agile development environmentExperience with Jira and other Atlassian toolsKnowledge of Link-16 and/or other tactical data linksAbility to conduct requirements impact assessments and contribute to engineering change proposalsSecurity ClearanceCandidates must currently have and be able to maintain a minimum DoD SECRET level security clearance.QTEC, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
