Job Function
Reporting into the Human Resources SR Manager, the Human Resources Manager will be based out of Ashtabula, OH and will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices. They ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws concerning employment and employee rights. The HR Manager also serves as a liaison between management and employees, addressing concerns and fostering a positive work environment.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with organizational objectives, including recruitment, retention, performance management, and employee development
Handle employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions. Promote a positive work culture and address issues to maintain high employee morale.
Manage the recruitment and selection process for operations
Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of human capital
Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics and procedures across the organization
Nurture a positive working environment
Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance
Maintain current pay plan and benefits program
Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs Facilitate employee development initiatives to support career growth and succession planning
Partner with Operations to ensure alignment on Vibrantz Vision and Values
Maintain employee records, managing HRIS systems, and ensuring compliance with data protection regulations
Conduct and update workforce plans
Stay informed about relevant employment laws and regulations and ensure compliance in all HR practices and policies. Provide guidance to management and employees on legal matters related to employment.
Implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction, such as employee recognition programs, team-building activities, and employee involvement committee.
Required Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
5+ years related experience
Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
Proficient using Microsoft Office with expert level skills in Excel.
Well organized, detail-oriented, resourceful, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Fosters positive work relationships and is a solid team player
Strong leadership skills, able to effectively lead and manage a team
Able to complete projects in a timely manner and get results
Supports the strategic and operational direction of the business.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating priorities and deadlines
