KIPP schools support our educators to help students achieve academic excellence, building the skills and confidence they need to succeed.Together, we are raising the bar for every student, every day.Job DescriptionThe Student Success Coordinator (SSC) ensures the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of all student academic records, scheduling systems, and graduation eligibility. This role owns the student information system, transcript accuracy, and master scheduling processes, ensuring every student is correctly scheduled and on a verified path to graduation. In addition, the SSC will work closely with KIPP Forward and high school leadership to ensure all students are on track for graduation and prepared to successfully transition to a postsecondary pathway (college, career, or workforce). This role supports academic advising, supports postsecondary readiness systems, and recommends Tier 2/3 social-emotional supports.Position type: Full-time, Exempt, 12 MonthReporting & CollaborationReports to: School LeaderCollaborates with:VP of Academics and Instruction Data Team (reporting and systems alignment)KIPP Forward (postsecondary access and persistence)Mental Health Professionals (for clinical support)Teachers and leadership teamFamilies and community partnersAutonomy & Decision Making Owns all decisions related to student records, transcripts, and credit calculationsFinal authority on graduation eligibility and transcript accuracyDetermines technical requirements for student course placement and creditsOwns student-facing academic and postsecondary planning decisionsDetermines interventions for students who are off-track academically or postsecondaryRecommends (but does not finalize) course pathways and schedule needsInputs: What will I be doing in my day-to-day work?Manage and maintain all student records in PowerSchool with 100% accuracyConduct regular audits of credits, GPA, and transcript accuracyMonitor student progress toward graduation requirements and flag discrepanciesGenerate report cards, transcripts, and progress reportsProcess student enrollment, withdrawals, and records requestsLead transcript audits in collaboration with school leadershipEnsure compliance with FERPA and all student records regulationsCoordinate with leadership team on reporting and data accuracyDevelop and monitor individualized student academic and postsecondary plansAnalyze student data (grades, credits, attendance) to identify off-track studentsSupport postsecondary readiness programming (college applications, FAFSA, career exposure)Co-facilitate workshops for students and families on college, career, and financial aidOutcomes: What will I be evaluated on?100% accurate student records, transcripts, GPA, and credit reporting100% of students have schedules aligned to graduation requirements by Day 1≥95% of students on track for graduation (in partnership with Registrar)100% of students have a documented postsecondary planZero compliance or audit findings related to student recordsAccurate and timely reporting of student progress toward graduationSeamless execution of scheduling cycles and reporting timelinesClear identification of students at risk of delayed graduation (early warning system)What skills should I already bring, i.e., what should I already have a track record around?Strong expertise in student information systems (PowerSchool or similar)Deep understanding of graduation requirements, transcripts, and credit systemsKnowledge of FERPA and student records complianceStrong knowledge of college admissions, financial aid, and career pathwaysAbility to analyze student data and translate into action plansSkilled in counseling, relationship-building, and culturally responsive practicesStrong facilitation and communication skills with students and familiesAbility to design systems and programming, not just provide 1:1 supportHigh level of organization and case managementAbility to manage large datasets and reporting cyclesHigh attention to detail and accuracyQualificationsWhat you bring to the table:RequiredBachelor’s degree 2+ years of experience in registrar, student records, or data systems roleDemonstrated ability to manage data with high accuracy (95%+ expectation)Experience working with high school students in academic advising or counselingDemonstrated success supporting students toward graduation and postsecondary outcomesAbility to manage a caseload and multiple priorities effectivelyStrong technical skills in data systems and the Microsoft Office SuitePreferred Master's degree preferredExperience working in schools or education systems preferredAdditional InformationWhat we bring to the table:KIPP St. Louis is committed to pay equity and to ensuring that we do not unintentionally perpetuate historic wage gaps that persist due to individual negotiations.
