Overview RGA is seeking a skilled and motivated Project Architect to join our collaborative and innovative team of architects and engineers. We are looking for a technically strong leader who thrives in a team environment and is eager to contribute to the design and delivery of high-quality, impactful projects. As a Project Architect, you will play a key role in technical coordination and project documentation across all phases, collaborating with clients, consultants, and internal teams to translate design vision into built reality. Job Description Project Architects work directly with all members of a project team to lead the technical development of architectural projects. Through collaboration with clients, staff, and consultants, Project Architects ensure project documentation is complete, coordinated, and constructible. This role is essential in ensuring design quality, code compliance, and clear communication from concept through construction. Typical Duties The following duties are representative of what is typically required of Project Architects. Competency in additional tasks beyond the scope of this list is a valued contribution to both individual professional growth and the overall success of the project team: Lead, develop, and execute project documentation and contract administration across all phases. Prepare and oversee construction documents with a focus on quality, clarity, and technical coordination. Collaborate with the Project Designer and Project Manager to carry out design intent throughout all project phases. Conduct quality control reviews and product/material research. Lead construction administration efforts including clarifications, submittals, RFIs, and site observations. Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and regulatory authorities. Mentor junior staff and contribute to a positive, collaborative studio culture. Knowledge and Experience Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture required. Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in architectural practice across all phases of design and construction. Licensure: Architectural license in California preferred (or active pursuit). Technical Skills: Proficiency in Revit required. Familiarity with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Adobe Creative Suite preferred. Knowledge Areas: Deep understanding of building codes, detailing, and construction methods. Experience coordinating consultant drawings and project specifications. Strong communication skills for working with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
