Security Technician

Security Technician Location: Dallas-Fort Worth, TX Job Type: Full-time, Temporary (8-12 months) Shift: Day Shift, Monday through Friday Pay Rate: $25 - $30/hr Job Description: We are looking for an experienced Security Technician to join our team for an 8-12 month project at a large facility in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. This role requires proficiency in pulling and terminating cables, working on lifts, and installing security devices such as cameras, card readers, panels, and more. Responsibilities: Pull and terminate CAT6, coax, and other low voltage cables for security systems. Install and configure security devices, including cameras, card readers, access control panels, and other related equipment. Operate lifts and aerial platforms to install devices at various heights. Read and follow blueprints, schematics, and install lists to ensure accurate and efficient installations. Perform testing and troubleshooting of security systems to verify proper functionality. Adhere to all safety standards and site protocols. Requirements: Proven experience in security system installation, including cabling and device setup. Proficiency in working with CAT6 cabling, coax, and other low voltage wiring. Ability to work on lifts and aerial platforms (certification preferred). Strong understanding of security systems, including CCTV, access control, and alarm systems. Must have basic hand tools and full construction PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, steel-toed boots, and high-visibility vest). Reliable transportation to the job site in Dallas-Fort Worth.
